CV and job description gap check
A job advert tells you what it wants in its own words. This shows you which of those words are nowhere in your CV, so you can decide — honestly — whether that is a gap in the document or a gap in your experience.
Nothing you paste leaves this page. The comparison runs in your browser. There is no upload, no server call and nothing saved — close the tab and it is gone. You can check: open your browser's network tab and watch it stay empty while you type.
How to use the result without making your CV worse
- Go through the missing terms and split them in two: things you have actually done, and things you have not. Only the first group is a CV problem.
- For each one you have done, find the bullet point where it already happened and rewrite that bullet to name it — with the result attached. “Rebuilt the nightly load in Airflow, cutting the run from 6 hours to 40 minutes” beats a skills list containing the word Airflow.
- For the ones you have not done, leave them out. If several of them are the advert's core requirements, that is the tool doing its job: this is not your job yet, and the honest move is to find the gap and close it rather than to word around it.
- Never paste the advert's terms into a hidden block of white text. Recruiters find it, and it ends the application.
