Why 1stepGrow exists
Choosing a course or a career path is a high-stakes decision made with low-quality information. Marketing pages promise the same outcomes, placement figures appear without a denominator, and most "best course" lists are written by people who never read the syllabus.
We started 1stepGrow to do that work properly: read the full curriculum, check the fee against the fine print, trace outcome claims back to something verifiable, talk to people who have done the job, and put the result in a format where the differences are obvious. Sometimes the honest answer is a specific programme. Often it is that a free path gets you most of the way and the paid one buys structure. We publish both.
How we work
Our standards are public so readers can hold us to them.
- Named, verifiable authors. Every article carries a byline linked to an author page with the writer's role and LinkedIn profile.
- Stated criteria. Comparisons and rankings say what they were judged on, in the article itself.
- Dated updates. Articles show when they were published and when they were last updated.
- Public corrections. Material errors are fixed and noted under our correction policy.
- Human accountability for AI. Our AI content policy sets out what AI tools may and may not do here.

1stepGrow is free to read and is funded by display advertising, sponsored content and sponsored guest posts, and fees from some companies whose programmes appear on the site.
